The king is 4"
Board/Box measures 15" X 15" X 4 1/2H".
Square size is 1 1/2"

The pieces and the box/board are made to go together and are not sold separately. Hand-painting is artistic, with the most color on the Queens. It is very beautiful. The box is cherry and is supported by metal "feet". Each foot is decorated with one of the two flags. The surface of the board is a printed map of the Southeast US, in soft yellows and greens. This is our favorite of the Civil War sets.
